zing went the strings of my heart...

Was't that the line Judy Garland once used in a song.
Well tonight I had a very special evening. A few weeks ago i signed up for tickets to attend a concert. Not just any concert but an evening int the Amsterdam Concert Gebouw, and witness the performance of the Concertgebouw Orchestra and its new conductor. The oppertunity was alsn special becaus GALA the Gay and Lesbian Association of ING participated. I was lucky enough to get a ticket and GALA had reserverd 50 ticket for its members. So we met this evening gays people from within the ING Group. During intermission a guy of the concertgebouw, explained to us how the effort of the orchestra combined with the enspirited way of conducting lead to a hogher qualitiy level of the perfomance.

I must say, it sounded wonderful. The music of Strawinsky and Tschaikosvky was played. I had a real nice evening.
After the concert we were taken into the Julianafoyer and drinks were served. had a pleasant conversation with Fernando, the partner of Linda. Also spoke with Frederik, Allan, David and his boyfriend. And to Jaap, a member of our choir Manoeuvre.
Arrived home at 12.30... Tired but satisfied.

First time jogging...

Don't you believe this: Can a guy, who didn't run this very season, just start running?
Well you better believe it. Being a rower, this auttum and wintertime isn't the best time to spent on the water. But walking and running just beside it proofs a good exercise to stay fit, till that lovely day you can enter in a small skiff the broad waters of the river Amstel.

Till than, just shut up, don't weep and get your bum moving.
Half of the acitve member of the rowing team will do so. Tomorrow night i;am a victim too. I dread the moment to start.
It is a 6km run to and fro.

Best part is afterwards. Taking all a shower, walk up the central hal, get some drinks and some fresh cooked warm meal.
And ofcourse boust about the set time of this little excercise..

fire!!

Never a dull moment,

The guy for the fireplace came in this evening to judge the situation,.
Whether i could or could not have a (open) fire place.

I 've told him in advance, he's not the only one. Still the only one who gave me a compliment about my 'inerior desging'
whoopee..Sure sucker but not a penny more... ;) Before the weeks over, i ll get an offer.
Must say i am curious

missed it again..

Oh i hate this...
normally on monday i go to an all male choir rehearsal.
We've started first of september on mondayevening. I already missed several rehearsals.

It all has to do with time management. Just as you think you've got the hang of it, it all go's out of order. I hate that. Today was a nice day, lots of wind and an occasional shower, but otherwise truly lovely. Spend my day well, was on time with my dinner, but couldn't make the rehearsal. I drove of, right on time, as i was driving, looked at the gasoline level.
Found out there was enough for oneway trip. Turned back again, and here I am. blogging...

Well, other things to do as well..
