Yes, but i must admit, it was a fantastic holiday.. We enjoyed it very much. Altough the weather wasn't all that, we still got to get our sunbath's on a dailuy scale. What more can you ask for. We'v e drove around on scooters, about 270 km. We had one downer, Sjaak's father (83) had to endure a major live treathening surgery. Making the wright decision to abort the holiday was hard for him, as well for us. i've known his father for 23 years too. Jurr and I had to shake loose not to spoil the rest of the holiday. We've managed.
But still call everyday over the status of Sjaaks father. He doing alright for a man in his dispositon..

Yes or No...

For the first time, we can vote through a referendum inspite of our political system.
We use parliament to deal with all country affairs/decisions. The reason for this referendum is wether we approve of a treaty for a European Constitution. The Netherlands is from a historic point of view one of six countries that founded the European Union. It started with six countries and now 25 countries are members of the Europion Union. We are a relative small nation (but quit prosperus) in numbers and land. Therefore we need all the other countries for our traid. Inspite of a very clear and confincing NO voted by France, my hope is we shall vote Yes. The polls show that a small majority will preveal. My forecast for the outcome is: 52% yes and
40% no. Many other fellow countries will have a referendum and a final go or no go to the treaty for the Constition will be given in december 2006...

We'll just have to wait and see...
